Jack the Ripper

Any book tagged with this topic is about the history of Jack the Ripper. Jack the Ripper is a popular name given to a serial murderer who killed and mutilated prostitutes in the East End of London in 1888. Due to the fact that the killer was never caught by the police, the investigation of these historic crimes has become a phenomenon known as Ripperology, with hundreds of books, websites, magazines, and documentaries published attempting to solve the crimes. There have been dozens of announcements that the true identity of Jack the Ripper has finally been revealed, but these have all proved controversial and the case remains unsolved to this day.
