Ron Chernow isRon Chernow is an American journalist, historian and biographer. He received degrees from both Yale and Cambridge, as well as honorary degrees from five other universities. Chernow's work focuses primarily on the history of business and finance, as well as extensive biographies of historical figures in American politics. His biography of George Washington won the Pulitzer Prize in 2011; he has won several other awards for his impressive works, which have been best-sellers. Chernow's writing is highly intelligent and accessible, and his biographies bring historical figures to life with excitement and depth.

Chernow's biography of Alexander Hamilton was the inspiration for the popular Hamilton musical on Broadway, and he served as historical consultant on the creation of the play.
