Simon Winder is a British author who works as Publishing Director for Penguin Press. He is becoming well-known for his hilarious personal histories of European regions and ruling families, using his own extensive travel experiences as the backbone of his research. He is also known for being a huge fan of Ian Fleming’s James Bond novels, even buying the rights to the novels and publishing them as Penguin Modern Classics.
