Brian Matthew Jordan is currently Assistant Professor of History at Sam Houston State University in Texas, where he teaches courses in history, Civil War, and Reconstruction. He received his MA, M.Phil, and PhD in History at Yale University, and his BA in History/Civil War Studies at Gettysburg College. His interests lie in the Civil War, and his groundbreaking book, Marching Home, was a finalist for the 2016 Pulitzer Prize in History (I don't know how it didn't win). Jordan's fascination and passion for history are clearly displayed in his work.
Jordan also serves as the Book Review Editor for The Civil War Monitor and belongs to the Society of Civil War Historians.
