Stacy Schiff is an American Pulitzer Prize winning author and historian, as well as a guest columnist for the New York Times. Schiff was born in Massachusetts, and worked for many years as a senior editor at Simon & Schuster. She has since published five historical books to great acclaim, and has been awarded fellowships and the 2006 Academy Award in Literature from the American Academy of Arts and Letters.
Schiff's writing style is immediate, addictive, and beautiful. Rob Chernow states that "even if forced to at gunpoint, Stacy Schiff would be incapable of writing a dull page or a lame sentence."
